Project: Major drug-control agency rolls out r@eTECH security and productivity architecture

Client Overview

The client was a local agency dealing with illegal drug law enforcement. The mission of the local agency is to enhance and participate in America's drug-control efforts with local, state and Federal law enforcement agencies in order to eliminate or reduce drug trafficking and its harmful consequences in critical regions of the United States. The mission includes coordination efforts to reduce the production, manufacturing, distribution, transportation and chronic use of illegal drugs, as well as the attendant money laundering of drug proceeds.

Make the world's leading visual investigative analysis software more accessible and effective to the field agents in uncovering, interpreting, and displaying complex information about criminal activity.

An information exchange platform for field agents reporting to HQ that would not compromise security and agent information.

Solution Set

Design and commission a security solution that transparently controls proprietary information on the network. Any security breach initiates the defined policy and notifies the security administrator of the breach. The administrator has the ability to block or release blocked messages and information.

Installed a remote access service platform, allowing the agency to leverage the ubiquity of the Internet with the simplicity and security of a modern Web browser. In less than a day, the agency was able to deliver their customized applications for immediate, secure access to all agents, while meeting standards for information control.
